Easy Loading – The horizontal split cabinet with a rear hinge allows for easy ribbon and label loading. Wrap around media window – Allows operator to visually verify the media level without interrupting the printing operation. Safe from spills – The sealed user interface panel is sealed to prevent liquids and debris from damaging the sensitive user controls. Lowered Ribbon Costs – Larger one-inch core standardized ribbons cost less than the typical smaller desktop ribbons. Large Media Roll – Reduce interruptions and increase up time with larger media capacity on the Professional + model. Internal Fan Fold Stack – Protects media from the environment and eliminates curl on the Professional + model. Easy Serviceability – No tools or experience required to replace the most critical parts, the printhead and platen roller. Options Printer options expand the functionality of the standard product. Options may be factory installed in the printer or ordered separately and installed in the field as an upgrade. The options available for the E-Class Mark III product are described below: Thermal Transfer Uses a ribbon for thermal imaging with exceptional clarity on a wide variety of materials. Thermal transfer can create highly durable labels and tags that can withstand extreme temperatures and physical abuse. High Resolution Allows the printing of very small barcodes and text and still maintain exception high contrast printing. Dispenser ( Peeler) The dispenser peels the label from the backing and holds it in place until removed by the operator. The present sensor prevents the next label from being printed until the label is removed from the dispenser. This allows for semi-automated printing and dispensing that keeps pace with the labeling operation. Cutter This cutter provides semi-automatic cutting of each label and tag. The sensor prevents the printing of the next document until the cutting platform is cleared. International Fonts The international language fonts are located in resident memory allowing for fast access resulting in faster print delivery. Wireless LAN ( 802.11 a/ b/ g) The wireless LAN allows for easy network installation without the need of a wired network. By networking the printer can be shared by many users and placed in a centralized location. Additionally, the wireless LAN printer can be mobilized and placed on a cart with proper mobile power. Bluetooth Bluetooth allows the printer to be wirelessly connected to Bluetooth enabled hosts such as hand-held terminals and mobile computers. Bluetooth allows the printer to be dedicated to an application and still shared by multiple users. Bluetooth has the additional benefit of not relying on a network to print, making it a good solution for mission critical applications. Accessories A printer accessory expands the usefulness of the product. Accessories are ordered separately and are not factory installed or included within the printer packaging. The E-Class Mark III compatible accessories and their usefulness are described below. Media Chute The media chute allows for the semi-automatic loading of external media. The chute guides the hand fed media through the printer and the printer automatically loads the media once detected near the printhead. This allows for the fast and easy loading of external media without disrupting the printer. ( Not compatible with the Professional+ model) External Rewinder The external rewinder is used for rewinding labels onto a roll as they are printed. This allows for batch printing large continuous rolls of labels or tags and distributed for use. External Media Stand The external media stand allows printers with an external media slot to use large media supply rolls, up to 8-inches in diameter and wound on 13 to 33 cores. The external stand allows for longer uninterrupted operational times. ( Not compatible with the Professional+ model) MPU-4000 Battery Pack The MPU-4000 is a high performance, rechargeable battery pack that attaches directly to the bottom of the E-Class Mark III printer* and allows the printer to be used in mobile printing applications. Utilizing long lasting lithium polymer batteries, the MPU-4000 delivers enough power for the printer to operate for days without recharging. This powerful combination is ideal for higher duty applications that require the endurance and speed of a desktop printer but need the mobility and long battery life of a portable printer. * Does not attach to the Professional+
